Apollo 12 is struck by lightning two minutes after lift-off. With mission Control’s aid the crew saves their powerless craft and laughs about it all the way to the moon. After surviving an equally unnerving liftoff, Apollo 13 suffers a catastrphic explosion 200,000 miles from home and heading in the wrong direction. Suddenly Mission Control has a new mission.
